Superior Engineering and Design
Thule snow chains are hand-made in Italy and are constructed of durable, hardened manganese nickel alloy steel. They feature dual-sided D-shaped links that provide exceptional traction and extend the life of the product. These snow chains utilize a patented self-centering and auto-tensioning system which adjusts itself for a perfect fit. Once the chains are wrapped around the tire, the installation process is completed when the vehicle is set in motion. As the wheels turn, the self-centering and auto-tensioning system activates and the chain tightens around the tire. This eliminates the need to exit your vehicle and brave the elements to re-adjust snow chains. For easier installation in the dark or during the day, all attachment points on the chains are color coded. Additionally, each set of Thule tire chains comes with a hard case, installation mat, pair of gloves, and spare links.

Thule's CB-12 snow chain is the functional, heavy-duty solution for passenger vehicles. It utilizes ultra-durable 12mm D-link chain to provide superior grip on roads covered in snow and ice. The color-coded assembly points and quick-adjust tension control band allow for hassle-free fitting. Removal is just as fast. Simply lifting the tension control hook out of the chain link frees the chain from your wheel, allowing you to remove it quickly and easily. Additionally, CB-12 chains are also compatible with all Anti-Lock Brake and Traction Control systems. Perfect for fleet vehicles or the family car, Thule CB-12 snow chains are the premier economic choice in high-performance snow and ice traction.

How to Choose a Snow Chain that Fits Perfectly
To choose the right snow chain you must follow a few simple criteria. First, check your vehicle’s maintenance or owner’s manual to verify it contains no warnings advising against the fitting of snow chains on your particular vehicle. Once verified, take careful note of the three measurements on the side of the tire. The first number indicates the width, the second gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width) and the third denotes the diameter of the wheel expressed in inches. Then click on the Thule Snow Chain Fitment Guide to choose the most suitable model and size for your vehicle.

Customer Review :

Very satisfied, easy to use : Thule 12mm CB12 High Quality Passenger Car Snow Chain, Size 102 (Sold in pairs)

I've had other quick install chains before, but these are by far the best quality and easiest set that i've had to put on before. They fit true to size for my 16-inch tires on my Toyota Camry. These appear to self center well, and tighten up even more as you drive with them on.

The first time i put them on, I got out of my car a half-mile down the road to check on the fit. They had snugged up even tighter and I was good to go. They have a quick-release mechanism that quickly gets them off the wheel.

Freak rare snowstorm in Seattle, and everyone is instantly sold out of chains locally. Thank goodness for Amazon and Prime account to get me a set overnight!

Everything you need to know about traction cables... : Security Chain Company SZ343 Shur Grip Z Passenger Car Tire Traction Chain - Set of 2

Unlike some of the other reviews, this one is specific to this product and to the point. I've used these cables for over a year on my Saturn in Big Bear, CA. Installation is pretty easy with just a little practice. No readjusting after installation; a real plus. Be careful not to spin the tire on acceleration; the hook on the inside can release and the chain will pop off. The rubber tightener is cracked, but has not broken; makes me nervous. The traction coils are wearing well, even with quite a lot of bare-pavement driving. The side cables appear to be untwisting, making the whole unit prone to knotting itself up and more difficult to install, (after a lot of use.) These cables have destroyed my plastic hub caps. Despite some problems, these cables are superior to conventional chains and I would buy them again.

The K-Summit is the ultimate snow chain on the market today. The K-Summit is uniquely designed to ride on only the external surfaces of the tire so you don't need to worry about clearance issues on the inside of the tire or interference with ABS braking, suspension or steering components. The K-Summit is also one of the easiest chains to install in three easy steps. You simply lay the chain on the tire, attach it to one of the bolts, activate the ratchet and you're done. The chain automatically self-tightens and self-centers itself as you drive away. You don't need to keep other components mounted to the wheel over the winter like other chains. The K-Summit was produced in Italy and the craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident. It is made of special alloy plates and strengthening ribs along with zinc-plated pins and hard metal core rivets all designed for maximum grip, endurance, reliability and resistance to abrasion and laceration. The geometric design of the arms and the high toughness of the material won't allow the chain to come off the tire, even in extreme conditions. In addition the innovative ratchet system has a force multiplier of nine times so it allows effortless fitting and a safety lever to avoid accidental openings..../ Thule K-Summit Low-Profile Passenger Car Snow Chain, Size K44 (Sold in pairs) / cars buick

When the winter comes, Thule has the snow chains that get you there safely, easily and in style. Thule, known worldwide as a manufacturer of highly innovative automotive racks and accessories, is proud to offer the new K-Summit--their most advanced consumer snow chain. The K-Summit has been specially designed to fit a wide variety of passenger tires, and can even be safely used on vehicles with limited wheel clearance. Tested in the Italian Alps, this line of snow chains is surefooted, safe and remarkably easy to install and remove. To make sure you find the right chains for your tires, check the Thule K- Summit Snow Chain Fitment Guide and find your tire size.

Low-profile design will not harm components.

Easy 3-step installation: 1. Lay the chain on the tread pattern. 2. Attach the chain to one lug nut or bolt. 3. Activate the ratchet system, and you're off.

Superior Engineering and Design
Thule snow chains are hand-made in Italy and are constructed of durable, hardened Manganese Nickel Alloy Steel. This type of steel has a tight molecular structure that provides added strength in cold conditions. The K-Summit features reduced-clearance, D-shaped links that provide exceptional traction and guarantee long product life. All chain components are meticulously tested and measured to ensure an exact fit that will not damage critical wheel components. K-Summit snow chains utilize a steel spring system that automatically adjusts itself for a perfect fit, even through varying degrees of tire wear. Aerospace plastic plates, zinc-plated steel pins and hardened metal-core rivets have been used throughout the chain to provide maximum durability and safety. Additionally, the color-coded assembly points make mounting easy in all lighting conditions.

Thule K-Summit - The Chain That Goes Where Others Can't
Thule has specially designed the K-Summit to fit a wide variety of passenger tires and wheel applications. Not only are they well-suited to standard passenger vehicles, they also fit specialty and customized vehicles that have very tight wheel tolerances. Its components have been constructed to provide excellent snow and ice traction, all while keeping mechanical components, electronic devices and the vehicle's body free from chain interference or damage. K-Summit chains are easy to install and don't require any components to be permanently mounted on the wheel during winter months. The quick, 3-step process minimizes the amount of time you're exposed to the elements. To install the chain, simply lay two of the traction plates on the tire tread, attach the central unit to one lug nut with the included ergonomic tool, and activate the ratchet system. The chain will automatically self-adjust and tighten as you drive away. High-strength materials and an advanced geometric design keep the chain from slipping off of the tire, even in extreme conditions. K-Summit snow chains include 17mm and 19mm lug nut adapters, and 21mm adapters are available on request.

Nice idea, but poor execution : Thule K-Summit Low-Profile Passenger Car Snow Chain, Size K44 (Sold in pairs)

I don't know that I've driven on them enough to give proper details on durability. I can say that they worked very well on the 8 inches or so of snow I drove on over unpaved roads. And, I did not have to touch dirt or snow with anything but the fingers of my gloves and my boots. They were incredibly easy to install. I did not have to lay on my back or side. I did not have to reach behind the wheel. I got them on in about 1 minute per wheel. They came off in seconds. For the price you'll want to make sure you wash them without delay to keep them in good shape.

Customer Review :

On and off is what it's all about. : Thule 10mm CS10 Super-Premium Passenger Car Snow Chain, Size 090 (Sold in pairs)

just used these chains in tahoe after digging my car out of 3' of fresh snow on the sloped icy driveway of our ski house. After clearing the snow from the tires, the chains took about a limited for each tire to install. If I had used them before, it probably would have taken less time. My accord climbed up the driveway with barely any slipping...our friends Awd Subaru took 5 guys to help push it out. After I got to plowed roads the chains took about 30 seconds to remove. Just pull the "ripcord" and they basically fall off the tire. Extremely recommended!

the only reason I give them 4 stars is the by hand recommends to not drive over 35mph with these chains. Driving on a 55mph road that was only partially snow-covered was pretty agonizing. And they're a bit costly for something that only gets used every now and again...but for the convenience and time saved installing, I think they're worth every penny.

there's a video on youtube detailing the installation and extraction of the chains. If you quest for "konig chains" or "thule chains" it should come up.

low profile, easy to install; no complaints : Thule 12mm CB12 High Quality Passenger Car Snow Chain, Size 080 (Sold in pairs)

I have to admit, I've never driven in the snow before. Once I got to the part of the hill where chains were required I noticed man putting the traditional chains on their tires and it seemed they had been there for a while. I then took out mine, my wife and I each did one tire. I think it took us about 3 minutes combined and we were done. Since it was our first time, we practiced at home before we went on our trip.

When we left, population were still working on theirs.

These chains never got unfastened. They worked great, they are durable and I would only buy these in the time to come if I had to. I propose them. They are user kindly and beginner kindly too.
